IBPS RRB 2017-18 Exam Eligibility, Exam Pattern

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is agency which conducts common written test for the recruitment in the RRBs, various public-sector banks and nationalized banks. 

IBPS gives opportunity to get direct entry in the banks for the positions like probationary officer, specialist officer, Officer scale I/II/III, office assistant and clerk. Aspirants who wants to apply for banking sector job exams can apply for the IBPS RRB exam 2017-18.



IBPS RRB Exam


IBPS is expected to release Notification for the IBPS RRB 2017-18 exam application form in July 2017. Candidates can check their eligibility for the exam and can apply for online application form for IBPS RRB exam.


IBPS conducts online examination for the different posts like probationary officer(PO), Specialist officer(SO), RRB clerk, officer scale-I/II/III and office assistant in the Regional Rural Banks.



IBPS RRB 2017-18 Exam Eligibility


IBPS has set some eligibility criteria to select the candidates among the large no. of candidates for the RRB exam. Candidates are advised to check their eligibility criteria before filling up the application for.
If Candidates found not eligible at any stage of the exam, their candidature will be canceled. 



Nationality

  • A candidate must be either a Citizen of India/ Nepal/ Bhutan or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
NOTE- Provided that a candidate belonging to other countries shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.


Age Limit


There is different age limit for the different post for the IBPS RRB exam as given below:

  • For IBPS RRB Officer Scale- I & Office Assistant: 18 to 30 Years
  • For IBPS RRB Officer Scale- II: 21 to 32 years
  • For IBPS RRB Officer Scale- III: 21 to 40 years
Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules and norms.


IBPS RRB 2017-18 Educational Qualification


Candidates applying for the IBPS RRB 2017-18 exam must fulfill the educational qualification according to IBPS RRB eligibility criteria as listed below:

  • Computer knowledge is essential for all the posts of IBPS RRB exam.
  • Aspirants must have proficiency in the local language of the State / UT for officer assistant and officer scale-I positions.

In preliminary exam 100 questions given to be solved in one hour. There is negative marking of .25 marks for each wrong answer. It consists of three subjects:
  • English- 30 Questions
  • Quantitative aptitude- 35 Questions
  • Reasoning ability- 35 Questions


IBPS Clerk Main Exam Pattern

  • The main exam includes 200 questions of 200 marks to be solved.
  • These are individual time slot allotted to each subject. The time duration for the main exam is 135 minutes.
  • Negative marking of .25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

IBPS Clerk 2017 Application Form


IBPS Clerk 2017 exam notification will be released in August. Candidates can fill the application form through online mode only. Application form consists of four stages:

  • Filling up basic detail
  • Fee submission
Fee submission can be made through online mode. The application fee for General and OBC category is 600 Rs. While 100 Rs. for SC/ST/PWD category.
